Bhilai Steel Plant

Even though the main operations are a bit of a drive away, we’ve got our presence here in Raipur. Being part of the Bhilai Steel Plant family means even in the city, we are focused on the metal. This office in the 492001 area handles the paperwork and the logistics that keep the actual plant running smoothly. It’s a different kind of work than being on the shop floor, but it’s still busy. The phones ring a lot and there are always papers to sign. Raipur is a fast place, but we keep our heads down and do our tasks. It's not as hot as being near the blast furnaces, but there is still plenty of pressure to get things right. We deal with the suppliers and the people who need the steel sent out to different parts of India. It’s a lot of coordination. You’ll see us at our desks mostly, working through the piles of orders. We don't have a big sign with lights or anything. People know who we are and what we do. It’s honest work. Sometimes the traffic in Raipur makes getting to the office a bit of a headache, but we show up anyway. We’ve been part of the Chhattisgarh industrial scene for a long time. It’s not about being flashy; it’s about making sure the steel gets to where it needs to go on time.
