The yard here near Bajrang Tmt is always loud. That is the first thing you notice when you come to Maa Kudargarhi Steel. There is the sound of metal hitting metal and trucks backing in and out all day long. We deal with a lot of steel rods and plates, and it's heavy work that keeps us busy from early morning until the sun goes down. Most of us have been working here long enough that we don't even hear the noise anymore. We keep our inventory out in the open mostly, so we are always checking the weather. If it rains, things get muddy and slow down, but we still have to get the orders ready for the builders. It is a practical kind of business. We don't have fancy office chairs or air conditioning that works all the time. Our desks are usually covered in dust from the site. We just focus on the weight of the steel and making sure the counts are right before the trucks leave. Being right next to Bajrang Tmt makes it easy for people to find us, which is good. We don't spend money on big signs or anything. We just stay here and do the work. It’s a lot of sweating and heavy lifting, but it feels good to see the steel going out to build something new. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep the yard moving as best as we can.
