Sahelikhetkhaliyan Mahila Kisan Producercompany Limited is a group for the women farmers here. We are located C/O K V Nayak in Village Jamidar Bada, which is in Lamta. It’s a very quiet village, mostly surrounded by fields. We came together because we wanted to support each other in our farming work. Most of us are busy from early morning with the house and then the fields. We don't have a big office building. We usually meet up at the Jamidar Bada spot to talk about our crops and what we need to buy for the next season. It’s a real community feeling. We don't have any slick marketing or big promises. We just want to work our land and make sure our kids are okay. Lamta is a small place, so we all know each other. Sometimes the work is very tiring, especially when the sun is hot, but we keep each other going. We handle all kinds of produce depending on what is growing. It’s just us women trying to do things for ourselves. We are very plain about our business. We grow things, we harvest them, and we sell them. That is the whole thing. We are just glad to have a way to work together.
