Rathi Ispat is located over at Telghani Naka, quite close to the CSEB office. It’s an area that has always been about trade and industry. Our daily life involves a lot of heavy lifting and keeping track of the steel that comes in on the big trucks. The ground is usually black with coal dust or grease, and the air smells like iron. We don't have a fancy entrance or a receptionist. Usually, you’ll just find someone sitting on a wooden bench near the main gate. The CSEB office nearby means there’s always people coming and going, which makes the area feel quite alive. We spend our time checking the weight of the loads and making sure the inventory is right. It’s repetitive work, but it’s what keeps the place running. Sometimes the weather makes it hard, either too much rain turning the yard into mud or the sun making the steel too hot to touch. We just wear our work clothes and get on with it. There’s no big corporate talk here, just talk about the price of metal and when the next delivery is arriving. It’s a basic operation where we value the fact that the work gets done by the end of the shift. We’ve been in this spot for a while and have become a small part of the Telghani Naka landscape. We don't use fancy slogans, we just work until the day is over.
