Nawa Bastar Kisan Producer Company is located over at 28, Mavliguda Paradevda. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the local harvest and making sure things are moving along like they should. It gets pretty hot out here in Bastar during the summer months, but that is just how it goes for us. There are many families involved in what we do, and most of us have known each other for a long time. It isn't a fancy office or anything like that. Just a practical place where we keep our records and meet up to talk about the crops. Sometimes the roads are a bit rough getting into Mavliguda, but people manage to make it through. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the paperwork and the distribution. Most days start early before the sun gets too high. We check on what the farmers are bringing in and see where it needs to go next. It’s mostly just hard work and trying to keep things organized so nobody gets left behind. The building itself is simple, nothing to look twice at if you were driving by. We prefer it that way because it keeps the costs down for everyone. People stop by to chat or drop off supplies, and there is always a bit of tea going if someone has the time to sit for a minute. That’s just how we do things here.
