Our yard is located on Ganj Road in Nawapara Nagar, right near the Dena Bank. If you know the Nawapara Rajim area, you’ve probably passed by us without thinking much of it. We deal with stones and heavy materials all day. It’s a dusty job, and my hands are usually covered in grit by lunchtime. We’ve been at this spot for some time now. People come by when they are building a wall or fixing up a floor. We have different sizes and types of stones sitting around the place. Some days are slow, while other days we have trucks coming in and out constantly. The noise of the machinery is something we just got used to over the years. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around, just a steady one. We keep the inventory out in the open mostly. When the rain comes, things get a bit muddy, but that’s part of working with stone. We try to keep the piles sorted so we can find what a customer needs without too much digging. It's hard work, lifting and moving things, but it keeps us active. Most of us here grew up in this town or close by. We know the local roads well. If you’re looking for the bank, we are just a few steps away from there. We just do our work and go home and start again the next morning.
