Bastar Granites

We are located right in front of Kisor Super Bazar on Shyam Nagar Road in Katora Talab. It is a pretty lively neighborhood with people always walking around or heading to the bazar for their shopping. Our shop is easy to spot because of the big granite slabs we have out near the entrance. We don't have a lot of indoor space so most of our business happens right there in the open air. It can get pretty hot during the summer months and we definitely feel it. We spend a lot of time moving pieces around so that customers can see the patterns in the stone properly. Granite is heavy and moving it takes a lot of care so nobody gets hurt or breaks a piece. We talk to the shopkeepers next door quite a bit while we are waiting for customers. It feels like a small village sometimes even though we are in the middle of a busy road. The office is just a corner with a desk and some old chairs where we sit to write out the bills. We don't use any fancy software for that, just pen and paper for the most part. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late in the evening and we have to stay a bit longer to get everything inside safely. It’s just the way it goes in this business. We are just a bunch of regular people selling stone to our neighbors and whoever else stops by. We’ve been here for years now.
