D K Traders & Steel is over in Santoshi Nagar, right on the Old Dhamtari Road. If you are looking for us, we are located very close to the Gram Panchayat building. It’s a busy spot with lots of trucks moving up and down the road all day long. We deal mostly with steel rods, pipes, and other metal stuff that people need for building. The yard is usually full of heavy stock, so there is always the sound of metal clanging against metal. It gets pretty loud when we are loading up a delivery. We have a small office where we handle the bills and talk to the customers who walk in. Most of the people who come by are local contractors or folks from the neighborhood doing some repairs. We don't have any fancy displays or a big showroom. It’s just a practical place to buy steel. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into everything, so we spend a lot of time cleaning off the desks. The staff here is just a few of us who know the sizes and weights of the steel by heart. We try to be helpful when someone isn't sure what they need. Working on Old Dhamtari Road means we see a lot of the same faces every week. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around, we just want to get the orders right and keep the yard organized.
