We are just a group of people from around Naranpal Adawal who decided to get together to help each other out. Bastar Kisaan Kalyaan Farmer Producer Company Limited started because staying solo as a farmer is hard. Most of us grew up watching our fathers, like Shri Mani Ram or Shri Sahdew, work the land day in and day out. This office is actually at Sahdew’s place. It isn't anything fancy. We spend our days figuring out how to get seeds and equipment without spending too much money. Sometimes things go well and other times the weather makes it tough, but we keep going. Working together means we can talk to the buyers as a group instead of one by one. It makes a difference when you have neighbors standing with you. We handle everything ourselves, from the paperwork to looking at the crops. It's a lot of learning as we go. We aren't big businessmen, just local folks trying to make sure our families can keep living here. If you come by the village, you'll see how we live and work. It’s quiet here, but there is always something to do in the fields. We don't have a big staff, just the farmers who are part of this. We share the work and the problems. It’s better than being on your own. We just want to do right by the soil and the people in our community. We started this because we saw how hard it was for one person to get a fair price at the market. Now we have a voice. It's not perfect but it's ours.
