Aar Cee Ispat Udyog

We've been here at Aar Cee Ispat Udyog, across from the new bus stand, for quite a while now. It's usually pretty loud with the buses coming and going all day, but you get used to it after a bit. My father started this place dealing with steel, and we just kept it going because it's what we know. Most days involve moving heavy loads of iron and dealing with whoever walks through the door needing something specific cut or sized. It's dusty work, and the fans never seem to move enough air when the sun is really hitting the roof. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and making sure the orders are actually what people asked for. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic near the stand, which is a bit of a headache for everyone involved. The guys in the back have been with us for years, so they know the machines better than I do probably. We don't do anything fancy here, just basic industrial work. There’s always coffee going in the small office, though it’s usually cold before I get to finish a cup. People know where to find us because of the big sign out front that’s faded a bit over the summers. It isn't a glamorous job by any means. You end the day with dirt under your fingernails and a bit of a backache, but it’s our living.
