Deluxe Engineering In

Our workshop, Deluxe Engineering In, is situated in Balaji Industrial Park at P23 in the Taloja MIDC area. This is part of Panvel, which is always full of heavy trucks and big factories. We have been working out of this unit for a long time. It’s a typical engineering shop, so there is always the sound of machines humming and the smell of grease and cutting oil in the air. We do a lot of metal work and repairs for the other businesses nearby. It is definitely not a clean job. Our hands and clothes are usually covered in oil by midday. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for a long time, so we all know how the others work. We don't have an HR department or any of those fancy corporate things. We just talk to each other across the shop floor and get the orders finished. The office is just a tiny space with a couple of old chairs and a desk that has seen better days. We spend most of our time out with the lathes and drills anyway. Taloja is a hot and dusty place to work, especially in the summer months, but we are used to it by now. We take on whatever work comes through the gate, whether it’s a tiny part or a large machine repair. We don't do much talking; we just show people the work we finish. It is just honest labor for us.
