Our location is a bit different from your typical tech company. We are based in Alibag, specifically in a place called Sainik Nivas in the village of Shirawali. It is in the Raigad district, far away from the massive IT hubs of Pune or Mumbai. Being in a place like Hashiware means the pace of life is a lot slower outside the office. You don't have the constant roar of city traffic, though you do have the occasional tractor or local bus passing by. We set up Eyeglobal Tech here because it is home. The office isn't anything fancy, just a sturdy building where we have our computers and servers set up. Sometimes the internet can be a bit flaky when the weather gets bad during the monsoon, but we make it work. Most of our neighbors are farmers or people who have lived in Alibag for generations, so they don't always understand what we are doing sitting in front of screens all day. It’s a quiet life. We go for walks during our lunch break and can actually breathe the air here. We don't have a big HR department or fancy titles. We just handle the technical work that comes our way and try to keep things moving. It is a good balance between working in technology and living in a place that still feels like a real village. It is definitely not the corporate ladder life, and we are perfectly fine with how that has turned out for us.
