Bilal Nadkar

Bilal Nadkar is based in a small place called Matwan, which falls under the Sawad post in Poladpur. This is in the Raigad district. It’s quite a way out from the big hubs like Mumbai or Pune. The landscape here is full of hills and trees. It’s a very quiet area compared to the city. We don't have a big office building. We just work from where we are. Life in Poladpur moves at its own speed. We aren't in any rush to change that. The name Bilal Nadkar is well-known around these parts. We don't do much advertising. People usually find us because they know someone who knows us. It’s that kind of place. The weather can be a bit extreme, with very heavy rains during the monsoon season. Roads get a bit tricky then. But we just stay put and keep working. Fancy titles or a corporate structure are not things you will find here. We are just a few people getting things done. We wake up, check what needs to be finished, and get to it. Sometimes we take a break and just look at the hills. It’s a simple existence, and we are happy with it. Sounding like a big corporation is not necessary for us. We are just local people in Raigad doing our best with what we have. It’s honest work and a quiet life here in Matwan. The seasons change but our routine mostly stays the same day after day.
