Our college, Srikrishna Devara College Hosalli Camp E J, is located on the Main Road in Sindhanur. If you’re driving through Raichur, you might have seen our sign. It’s a busy road, so there’s always a lot of traffic and noise outside our front gates. The college itself is a place where young people from the surrounding camps and villages come to study. We’ve got a good mix of students here, all trying to figure out their next steps in life. The building is functional and has been around for some time. We have classrooms that get quite full, especially for the popular subjects. The staff here are mostly concerned with making sure the students actually show up and do their work. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. It’s just about the books, the lectures, and the exams. During the break times, the students hang out near the entrance or along the main road, getting snacks or just talking. It’s a lively atmosphere, even if it’s a bit rough around the edges sometimes. We just keep the place running so that the youth in this part of Raichur have somewhere to go for their higher studies. It’s a basic, solid setup that serves its purpose for the community. We see a lot of students working hard to get their degrees while balancing their lives at home in the camps. It can be a challenge for them, but we stay open to give them a chance to learn.
