Sri Krishnadevaraya Degree College

Sri Krishnadevaraya Degree College is located on the Hosali Campus in Sindhanur, out in the Raichur district. It’s a place for older students who are finishing up their degrees. The campus is a bit out of the main town area, so it’s fairly quiet, which is good for studying, I suppose. We have several buildings for different subjects and a central administrative office where most of the paperwork happens. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between lectures for both the students and the staff. The sun in Raichur can be quite harsh, so we have a few trees where students sit during their breaks to stay in the shade. We aren't a massive university, just a local college trying to help people from the surrounding villages get their qualifications. Most of the professors have been here for years and know the local families well. We have a library that stays busy during exam season and some labs that we try to keep updated when the budget allows. It’s a very practical place. There isn’t much in the way of entertainment, just classrooms, desks, and books. We focus on getting the syllabus finished on time. The atmosphere is generally serious but we have our moments of fun during college events. It’s just a regular college doing regular work for the youth of Sindhanur.
