Majida Bani Bidyapith

Our school sits right on the road that goes from Belerhat over to Tamaghata. It’s a pretty quiet spot in the Majida area of Bardhaman. Most people living around here know the building well since it’s been here for a long time. We have local kids coming in every single morning. Some of them walk from the nearby houses while others come on their bicycles. The building is a bit older, but it holds up okay for what we need. We do not have all those high-tech gadgets you see in city schools, but the classrooms are functional and have enough benches. There is a lot of dust that comes off the road sometimes, so we spend time sweeping it out. The staff room is small, and we usually share tea during the breaks while talking about the weather. Life in Bardhaman moves at its own pace, and the school follows that rhythm. We teach the basic subjects and try to keep the kids focused on their books. During the monsoon season, the road gets quite muddy, which makes the morning commute a bit of a challenge for everyone. We have a small area out back where students play during their free time. It is mostly just football or running around. Parents in Majida are hardworking and they visit the gates occasionally to check in. It is a simple setup we have here. Nothing flashy, just teachers doing their jobs and students trying to pass.
