Green Point Academy

Green Point Academy is located right on G.T. Road in Sitarampur. Being on the main road means there is always the sound of trucks and buses passing by Bardhaman. It’s a bit noisy, but you get used to it after a week or two. The building itself is quite solid. We have a gate that stays shut during the day to keep the noise and the dust out. Most of our mornings are spent greeting the kids and making sure the classrooms are ready. It’s a lot of practical stuff, like checking if the chalk is stocked or if the benches are clean. We have a small playground in the back, though it’s not as big as we’d like. The staff room is usually where we sit and talk about the day’s plans over a quick cup of tea. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that on the walls. It's just a school. We do the teaching, the kids do the learning, and then everyone goes home when the final bell rings. The heat in Bardhaman can be tough in the summer, so we keep the fans running at full speed. It’s a local place through and through. Most of the families around Sitarampur know us well because we’ve been here at this 713359 address for quite some time.
