You can find us in Villbagbati, which falls under the Pobhedia post office in the Saushgram area. We are located in the Burdwan district of West Bengal, zip code 713126. Our place, Career Point, is very much a village-based operation. It is surrounded by green fields and trees, which is a big change from the noisy cities. We set this up because we wanted to give local students a place to come for help with their studies without having to travel all the way to a big town. The office is just a couple of rooms with some old wooden tables and benches. We don't have much in the way of modern technology, but we have the books and the time to talk to people. Sometimes when it rains heavily, the roads get a bit muddy, but people still manage to come by on their cycles. We work according to the rhythm of the village, so things are usually quiet and steady. There is no corporate polish here. We just sit with the students and their parents and look at what they need for their exams or jobs. The power can be a bit unreliable, so we often work with the doors wide open to get as much natural light as possible. It is a simple life and a simple business. We are proud to be part of the community here in Burdwan and to help out our neighbors.
