Zakaas The Food Joint

Zakaas The Food Joint is located at Shop No 52 in Dhanashree Colony, right along the Pune Nasik Highway in Warje. Being right on the highway means we see a lot of people coming and going all day long. It’s a fast-paced spot. We opened up here because it seemed like a good place where people would need a quick bite while they were traveling or heading home to the colony. It’s not a big fancy restaurant with waiters in suits. We are just a small food joint where you can get something to eat without waiting forever. Our kitchen is small, but we keep it busy. You can usually hear the sound of the pans and the stove going from the street. We spend a lot of time cleaning the counters and getting ingredients ready for the next rush. The highway can be really loud with all the trucks and cars, but we’ve gotten used to it over time. It’s just part of the atmosphere here. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We just want to serve the food and keep the place running. Most of our customers are locals from Dhanashree Colony or drivers who know this stretch of road well. It’s a lot of work, but it keeps us busy. If you are driving past Warje on the highway, you’ll probably see our shop tucked in there. We stay open late.
