Zaika The Modern Pan Shop

We are located right on Viman Nagar Main Road, which stays pretty busy most of the day. Zaika The Modern Pan Shop is just a small place we run, and it is nothing too fancy to look at. People come in after their meals or while they are just walking by to grab a pan. We spend a lot of time getting the leaves ready and picking out the right stuff to put inside them. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we try to keep things as cool as we can inside the shop. Some customers have been coming to us since we first opened the doors here. You get used to the noise of the traffic and the people talking outside. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the rush in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work. Sometimes we run out of a certain type of tobacco or sweet filling before the day is over. We don't really have a big team, just a couple of us making sure everything is handled. My hands are usually stained from the ingredients by the time I close up at night. It is just a regular shop where people stop for a few minutes. We try to keep the counter clean but with so many people it’s hard. Life on this road is fast but we just take it one order at a time. It's mostly about the routine of opening up, serving, and then cleaning it all up for the next morning. It takes a lot of patience to do this every single day without a break.
