Yash Mobile

Yash Mobile is located at Bhawani 351 and it’s basically been my second home for years. The space is a bit cramped once you get more than three people inside. We’ve got shelves stacked high with old phone boxes and spare batteries that we might need one day. The light over the main desk flickers sometimes, which is annoying when you are trying to handle tiny screws, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't really have a big team or anything, just a couple of us who know how to fix things. People come by mostly for recharges or to get a new screen guard put on because they dropped their phone on the pavement. We see a lot of the same faces from around the neighborhood. It’s nice to know everyone by name. The afternoons can get quite hot in this part of town, so we usually keep a small fan going right behind the counter. It makes a lot of noise but it helps. We don’t spend much time thinking about being the biggest shop or anything like that. We just want to finish the work on the table so we can go home on time. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the people walking past Bhawani 351. It’s a steady job and it keeps us busy enough to not complain much. We keep the doors open late because that is when most people finish their work.
