Yash Metal Buffing Works

I've been working at Yash Metal Buffing Works for a long time now. We are tucked away at 164/7 Ghorpade Peth, right across from the Municipal Corporation. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s always packed with people and vehicles. The dust from the buffing wheels gets on everything, even our tea cups if we aren't careful. It’s a gritty job, but someone has to do it. The machines make a constant humming sound that you just get used to after the first week. My clothes are usually covered in black residue by noon. We don't have fancy air conditioning or anything, just some old fans that move the air around. The Corporation building across the street is a good landmark for people trying to find us. Usually, there’s a lot of noise from the traffic outside mixed with our grinding. It’s just how Ghorpade Peth is. We don't spend money on brochures or big advertisements because the local guys know where we are. We just take the metal pieces, clean them up, and get them back to the owners. Sometimes the work piles up on the floor, but we get through it piece by piece. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. Most of the time, I’m just looking forward to the chai break at four o'clock. That’s our day here at the shop.
