Yammy Foods & Cyber Cafe

We decided to put a few computers in the back of Yammy Foods because people kept asking where they could print things or check their mail. So now it’s a bit of both. We’re in Shop No 2 at the Ujagar Industrial Estate in Bibwewadi. During the lunch hour, the place gets packed with people from the nearby factories looking for a quick bite. We serve mostly simple snacks and tea. The computers are a bit older, so they take a minute to boot up sometimes. I’m usually running between the kitchen and the front desk helping someone with a printer jam. It’s a lot of noise with the fans running and the sound of people eating. The Waman Patil Marg road outside is always busy with trucks. We have a few plastic tables that we wipe down constantly. It’s not the quietest place to work on a computer, but it gets the job done for the folks around here. We don't have a huge menu, just what we can cook up on the two burners we have. Sometimes the internet goes out when it rains, and everyone has to wait around for it to come back. We just try to keep things moving. It’s a practical setup for an industrial area like this. People come for the food and stay to finish some paperwork. We stay open until the last shift at the estate finishes up and then we clean up for the next day.
