Woman Arts Food Processing Center

Woman Arts Food Processing Center is located at Shaniwar Peth on Kammanahalli Main Road 38 B. This is a place where a group of us get together to make various food items. It is not a massive factory with machines. We do a lot of things by hand, like cleaning grains, making masalas, and packing things into small bags. The smell of spices is always very strong when you walk into the center. We started this because we wanted to do something productive with our skills. Shaniwar Peth is a busy area and being on the main road helps people find us easily. We have big steel containers and tables where we work throughout the day. It is a bit noisy with all the talking and the sound of grinders, but it is a good atmosphere. We don't have any polished marketing materials or a fancy brand. We just focus on making sure the food is clean and tastes like it should. Sometimes we are busy with big orders for festivals and other times it is just the regular daily work. We wear our aprons and get to it every morning. It is a simple setup but it works for us. People from the neighborhood stop by to see what we are making today. We try to keep everything tidy but things get a bit messy. It feels good.
