Wintex Computer Services is based in Shukrawar Peth. You can find us at D/11, Panchwati, 258. We are right across from the Fodgate Police Chowki, so it is a landmark that most people in the neighborhood recognize easily. The office isn’t huge. It is full of monitors, spare parts, and cables running all over the place. We have been working on computers here for quite some time now. It gets a bit crowded when we have a lot of repairs coming in at once, but we manage. Shukrawar Peth is one of those old-school areas where everyone seems to know everyone else. You can hear the traffic and the sirens from the police station throughout the day. We do not have a fancy reception area or a big sign outside. Most of our day is spent looking at screens or opening up towers to see what is wrong inside. Sometimes it is a quick fix and other times we are scratching our heads for hours. We do not talk much about innovation or anything like that; we just fix what is broken. The lighting inside is a bit bright, but it helps when you are dealing with tiny screws. We usually have a radio playing in the background just to keep things from being too quiet. It is a simple way to earn a living and we like being part of this local community. It is mostly just about staying busy.
