Vssm Farms

We are located down in the Market Yard area, specifically on Anekallatappa Mutt Lane, near Siddanna Lane Cross 17. It’s a very old part of the city and the lanes are so narrow that you can barely fit a small truck through them. Everything here revolves around the produce and the farm goods. We get up while it’s still dark to start moving the crates. The air smells like fresh earth and vegetables. It’s very chaotic in the mornings with people shouting and laborers carrying heavy loads on their backs. Our spot is tucked away in the lane, and we spend most of the day organizing what comes in from the fields. It’s a lot of mud and wet floors, especially when it rains. We don't have fancy signs or anything like that. Just the name on a small board. The walls are a bit stained and the ceiling has some old wiring, but it’s a solid place. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake during the early hours. By the afternoon, things slow down and we spend time cleaning up the scraps and preparing for the next day. Being in Market Yard means you are always surrounded by the hustle, and we’ve been a part of this mess for quite some time now. Most of the families around here have been doing this for generations. We just try to keep up with the daily load and get things sorted.
