Namdeo Umaji Seeds Pvt Ltd is situated at 1204/5 on Ghole Road. This part of Pune has a lot of history, and you can feel that when you walk down the street. Our building is one of those older structures that has a lot of character, even if the stairs are a bit narrow and the paint is peeling in some corners. We deal with seeds, so there is often a faint earthy smell around the place that reminds us of the outdoors. The office itself is quite simple and a bit cluttered with samples and various documents piled up on the wooden desks. We spend a lot of our time answering phones and checking on shipments that come and go. Ghole Road is usually packed with parked bikes and people walking to the nearby cafes, so it can be a bit of a scramble to find a spot in the mornings. We have a small staff and most of us have been here for a long time, so we know exactly where everything is kept. The light coming through the big windows is nice in the morning, but we have to pull the shades down once the afternoon sun starts hitting the glass. It is a very practical environment without any of those modern office frills. We just keep our heads down and make sure the orders are processed correctly every single day.
