Agro Organic Export

Agro Organic Export is based in Wanowari, Pune. We work out of Ganga Savera, in flat E-306. It’s a regular apartment building. We started this because we wanted to get into the export business. We deal with organic products, so we talk to a lot of farmers and suppliers. Our office is full of samples and small boxes. Sometimes the smell of dried herbs or grains is quite strong in the room. We don't have a huge warehouse here; that’s all done at a different site. Here in Ganga Savera, we just handle the paperwork and the emails. It’s a lot of dealing with customs and shipping companies. Sometimes the documents get stuck, and we have to spend hours on the phone. Wanowari is a decent area with lots of shops. We usually go down for a snack in the afternoon. We aren't some massive corporation. It’s just a few of us in this flat. We have a couple of computers and a printer that jams occasionally. We just try to make sure the produce gets where it needs to go. It’s a lot of hard work and late nights when we have to talk to people in different time zones. We just keep plugging away at it every day. The coffee machine is our best friend during those long nights when we are tracking shipments across the ocean.
