Shubham Farms

Shubham Farms is located out in Nilanga, Maharashtra. We’ve been working this land for quite some time now. Farming in this part of the state isn't always easy, but it’s what we know. We deal with the soil, the seasons, and the water every single day. Our focus is on growing things that the local market needs and making sure the livestock is taken care of properly. It’s a lot of early mornings and physical labor, but there is a certain rhythm to it that you get used to. We don't have a big corporate office; our office is mostly the fields and the shed where we keep the equipment. When we aren't out planting or harvesting, we are usually fixing a tractor or checking on the irrigation lines. The weather in Maharashtra can be tough, especially when the rains are late, but we manage. We aren't doing this for some big brand name; we are just a local farm trying to produce good crops and keep the business running for the next year. People around Nilanga know us, and we mostly sell to the local traders and neighbors. It is a simple life centered around the cycles of the earth. We just keep our heads down, watch the weather, and do the best we can with the land we have. It is hard work but it is rewarding to see the crops grow after a long season.
