It’s a bit unusual for a business like ours to be in an apartment, but Flat 402 in Peace N Joy works for us. Gokhale Road is a nice area in Model Colony, fairly quiet compared to the main parts of Shivajinagar. You have to buzz the intercom to get up here. It feels more like a home than an office sometimes, which I think makes people feel a bit more relaxed. We have a few desks set up in what used to be the living room. The kitchen is mostly just for making coffee and keeping our lunches cold. From the balcony, you can see the trees along the street. It’s a peaceful spot to work from. We’ve been here for a few years and the neighbors are used to us by now. Sometimes the delivery guys get confused finding the right wing of the building, so we end up going down to meet them. We don’t have a big sign on the street, just the nameplate on the door. Inside, we keep our equipment and some files. It’s not a place for huge crowds, but it suits the way we handle our security work. The atmosphere is pretty low-key. We don’t wear suits or anything like that. Usually, it’s just jeans and shirts while we focus on the tasks for the day. It’s a steady way to work in a pleasant part of Pune.
