Vithaldas Narayandas & Sons

Our shop is right at 756 Budhwar Peth, near Phadke Haud. It is a very old part of the city, and the streets are always crowded with people walking or riding scooters. You can hear the bells from the nearby temples and the general noise of the market all day long. Vithaldas Narayandas & Sons has been part of this neighborhood for a long time. The building itself shows its age, but it works for what we do. Inside, things are stacked where we can find them, though it might look a bit messy to someone just walking in from the street. We don't have air conditioning or fancy displays. It’s just wooden counters and shelves filled with what we need. People in the area know us by the name on the board, which has faded a bit over the years. Phadke Haud is a landmark everyone knows, so it’s easy to tell people where to find us. Usually, we are busy talking to folks who stop by or checking on the inventory. The lighting is a bit dim inside, but we know every corner of the place. It’s the kind of business where we know our neighbors and we see the same faces every morning when we open the doors. Life moves at a different pace in Budhwar Peth, and we’ve just grown accustomed to the rhythm of this specific corner of the world.
