We have been here at Shah Alam 61 in Deccan Gymkhana for quite some time now. People come in mostly when their phones act up or they need a quick recharge. It gets pretty crowded in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work or college and realizes their battery is almost dead. I handle most of the repairs myself, though my brother helps out when things get really hectic. We've seen all kinds of phones come through these doors, from the old button types to the latest touchscreens that break if you just look at them wrong. Sometimes customers just want a screen guard put on properly because they can't get the bubbles out. It's a small shop but we keep it organized enough to find what we need among all the spare parts. We carry a bunch of different chargers and cables too because everyone seems to lose those or their dogs chew them up. Being in this part of town means we meet a lot of regular students and shopkeepers nearby. It is mostly just about keeping things running for the locals. Some days are long, especially when a repair takes longer than expected or the parts don't arrive on time. We just try to get the job done so people can get back to their calls. It’s not anything fancy, just a counter and some shelves full of boxes, but it works for us and the neighborhood. I guess we will be here for a long while yet.
