Our shop, Vinay Watch House, is at 401 in Nanded. We are really close to Swad Bekari, so the smell of fresh biscuits and bread is usually drifting through our front door in the afternoons. It’s a small, practical space. We don’t have much room for anything other than the watches we are working on and a few shelves for spare parts. Most of the time, it’s just one of us sitting at the tiny wooden desk with a lamp pulled close. We handle the usual stuff, like changing out old batteries, fixing broken pins, or cleaning out the gunk that builds up in metal straps over the years. It’s a humble business. We’ve known the neighbors for years, and we often chat while we work. The shop doesn't have air conditioning, so we keep the fan going full blast during the summer months. People from all over Nanded stop by, especially since the bakery is such a popular landmark nearby. They might drop off a watch and then go pick up their cakes. We don't use any high-tech machinery, just the basic hand tools that have been around forever. It’s a bit cluttered with old boxes and watch cases, but we know where everything is. We just focus on getting the watches back to their owners in working condition. It is a simple life and we like the routine of it all here at number 401.
