Sainath Watch Company

Our shop is located in the Durga Complex, which is right near Vidya Bank in the Sathe Nagar area of Pirangut. We are on the Wardgaon Sindhi Road, and it stays pretty busy with people traveling through. The sign says Sainath Watch Company, and we have been here at Lakshmi Kripa for quite some time now. It’s a simple setup we have going. There are glass counters filled with watches and a small workbench in the back where the real work happens. My eyes aren't as good as they used to be, so I use a big magnifying glass to see the gears. The walls have a few clocks that all chime at slightly different times, which can be a bit funny if you aren't used to it. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just a good ceiling fan that keeps the air moving. Most people in Pirangut know us as the place to go when their watch stops ticking. We take our time with each repair because rushing just leads to mistakes. It’s a quiet life for the most part, watching the traffic go by on the road outside. We see a lot of farmers and local workers coming in to get their straps replaced or a new glass put on. We like being part of the Sathe Nagar neighborhood. It feels good to see a watch start working again after sitting in a drawer for years.
