If you go to Bhosari 681/1, you’ll find Vijay Pressing. We are an industrial unit that focuses on pressing metal sheets into various shapes. It’s a very practical environment. The floor is concrete and there are piles of scrap metal in the corner. We have a few large presses that make a lot of noise when they are in operation. My father started this place, and I’ve been working here since I was a teenager. We don't have a marketing strategy or a fancy logo on the building. Most people find us because they need specific industrial work done for their own businesses. The schedule is pretty regular, starting at eight and finishing when the day's batch is done. We wear heavy boots because things are always being moved around. The air smells like iron and machine oil. It’s not the cleanest job, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing a flat sheet of metal turn into a finished component. We keep a small kettle in the corner for tea breaks. That’s usually the only time we stop to rest. We don't have a big website with professional photos. We just do the work and send it out to the clients. It’s a straightforward business built on just showing up every day and doing the labor. We take it one day at a time here and let the machines do the talking.
