Our office is over at 16 Swaroop Park in Kothrud. It’s right near Gandhi Bhavan and next to the Woodland place. We’ve been in this part of Pune for a long time. It’s a quiet area compared to the main city, which we like. The building is a bit older, but it’s sturdy. We do software work here at Vertex, but don't expect a place like Google. We have regular desks, some old rolling chairs, and a lot of cables running along the floor. We aren't a massive corporation with thousands of employees. It’s just a small team of us who know each other well. We go out for snacks near the park when we need a break from the screens. Sometimes the internet acts up and we all have to take a forced break. We don't have a fancy dress code. Most of us just wear jeans and t-shirts. We don't spend our time writing big mission statements. We just sit down and write the code that needs to be written. People in Kothrud know us as the quiet guys in the corner building. We’ve had the same landlord for years and he’s a nice guy. The office gets a lot of natural light in the morning, which is nice. We just keep doing our thing, one day at a time. It’s not a high-pressure environment, just steady work in a nice neighborhood.
