Veritas Software Symantec Corporation

It might seem a bit unusual for a company like Veritas Software Symantec Corporation to be based out in Khalapur, but we really like it here. Our address is Shramsafalya, in the S H Society, within the Raigad district of Maharashtra. Being away from the massive crowds of Mumbai or Pune gives us a different perspective on things. The office is in a quiet area where you can actually hear the birds sometimes. Inside, it’s mostly computers and people focused on their screens. We deal with software and data, which doesn’t require a big factory, just a reliable connection and some quiet space to think. The building, Shramsafalya, feels more like a home than a corporate office, which suits us just fine. We have a small kitchen area where we eat lunch together and talk about things other than work. The S H Society is a friendly neighborhood, and we’ve become part of the local scenery over time. It takes a bit longer to get here if you're coming from the city, but the drive through Raigad is actually quite nice. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights outside. We just come in, do our work on the software systems, and head home. It’s a simple setup that works for us. We focus on getting the technical stuff right and making sure our systems are solid, all from our little corner here in Maharashtra.
