If you walk down Raviwar Peth toward Govind Halwai Chowk, you will probably hear us before you see us. Dealing with steel furniture means there is always a lot of clanging and banging going on in our shop at 1227. It is a bit of a crowded space, filled with almirahs, metal cupboards, and desks that are built to last longer than the people buying them. We don't go in for those modern styles that break the moment you move them. Our stuff is heavy and sometimes a bit difficult to get through a narrow doorway, but that is just how steel is. Devarachikkanahalli is a long name for a neighborhood, but it is where we have set up our furniture business and deal with the local traffic. The area around us is always busy with people buying sweets or headed to the market, so we are used to the noise and the constant flow of people outside our door. Sometimes the floors are a bit messy with metal shavings or bits of packing material, but we try to keep it decent for whoever walks in. We spend our days mostly moving heavy things around and making sure the drawers slide like they are supposed to.
