Vardhman Hardware

Vardhman Hardware is located at 153 Bhawani Peth, right in the Gulali area. If you find the Poona Soap Factory, we are just across from there. It is an old part of town and our shop has been here for a good bit of time. We keep all sorts of things on the shelves, from big boxes of nails to different kinds of hammers and plumbing bits. It can look a bit messy sometimes because we have so much stock tucked into the corners. When someone comes in asking for a specific size of bolt, we usually know exactly which drawer it is in even if it doesn't look like it. The street outside can get quite loud with all the trucks and people moving goods around Bhawani Peth. We open up early in the morning because that is when the local workers need their supplies. My hands are usually a bit dirty from moving pipes or checking metal fittings, but that is just part of the job. We don't have a big website or anything, just the shop and the stuff we sell. People stop by for a single screw or a whole bag of tools. We just tell them the price and wrap it up in some old paper or a bag. It is a straightforward way to run a business. We know most of the regulars by name now. It is just us here most days, making sure the inventory is okay for whoever walks in.
