If you walk through Shaniwar Peth in Pune, you’ll find us at Plot No. 389, which is actually Agarwal Niwas. We are right opposite the Suyog Mangal Karyalaya, which is a big landmark for anyone around here. Agarwal Hardware is basically a family-run operation. We live and work in the same building, so there isn't much of a gap between our home life and the shop. The street outside is usually busy with people going to functions or just moving through the Peth. Our shop is packed with all kinds of hardware supplies, from bathroom fittings to basic kitchen tools. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at once. I usually spend my time helping folks pick out the right shade of paint or explaining why one pipe is better than another for their specific problem. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been in Shaniwar Peth for a long time. People know they can just walk in and ask for advice. Sometimes we sit on the porch when it’s quiet and watch the world go by. It’s a comfortable way to live, being part of the local community. We don’t aim to be the biggest store in Pune, just a reliable one where you can get what you need without a lot of fuss. That is how we have always done things. It works for us and our neighbors.
