Vaidya Ayurvedic Lab

Shanti Plaza has been our home for a while now. Most people know the spot on Mari Mata Lane in Sadashiv Peth because it's right in the middle of everything. It gets a bit busy around 1322/2 when the morning rush starts. A lot of our time is spent inside Vaidya Ayurvedic Lab dealing with different herbs and bottles. It’s a bit cramped with all the equipment but we manage fine. My uncle started it years ago and I just kept it going. The smells are pretty strong because of the oils and powders we use every day. Sometimes the neighbors complain but they usually just come in to ask for advice anyway. This is a simple setup. There isn't a big fancy reception or anything like that. Just some old chairs for people to wait on while we finish up their orders. The lane outside is narrow so parking is a nightmare. I tell everyone to just walk if they can. Working at Vaidya Ayurvedic Lab means our hands are always stained with something. Closing time is around eight usually unless there is a lot to clean. It's a lot of manual work. No big machines are used here. It’s mostly just us grinding things down and mixing them up by hand. If you’re looking for us, look for the small sign near the Shanti Plaza entrance. It's easy to miss if you're driving fast. We just do our thing and stay busy.
