Our workplace is inside the Alpabachat Cultural Complex, right at Gate Number 2 near 7 Queens Garden. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for a medicine company, being in a cultural complex, but it works for us. We handle Hope Ayurvedic Medicines from here. The area around Queens Garden is actually quite nice, a bit greener than other parts of the city. Our office is mostly filled with the smell of herbs and different oils. We spend a lot of time sorting through different powders and bottling up the medicines. It’s a manual process for the most part, so there’s a lot of hands-on work. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything. It’s just us, some tables, and a lot of glass jars. Sometimes we have to wait a while for shipments of raw materials to arrive at the gate, which can be frustrating. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we have a good little community. We talk about the weather and the local news while we work on the packaging. It’s a slow and steady kind of business. We don’t try to be something we’re not. We just make the ayurvedic products the way we know how with what we have. It’s a quiet life compared to the big factories, and we prefer it that way. The office is often a bit cluttered with boxes, but we know where everything is.
