Uttam Galva Steels Ltd.

We are located over in New Panvel, specifically at Sector No. 4 in the Madhumalti Aptt. It’s a pretty standard Maharashtra residential area that has a few offices mixed in. Working for Uttam Galva Steels Ltd. from here means we see a lot of the local life while we’re trying to manage steel supplies. The apartment setup is a bit different than a factory floor, but it’s where the planning happens. We have desks shoved into corners and files stacked up pretty high. Panvel is growing fast, so there's always construction noise nearby, which is ironic since we’re in the steel business. We don't have any big corporate banners hanging outside. Most people just walk by and don't realize we're coordinating big loads of metal from right inside this building. It gets humid in the afternoons, so the fans are always on full blast. We mostly deal with the logistics and making sure the paperwork for the steel is all in order before it goes out. It’s a lot of back-and-forth on the mobile and checking schedules. We like it here because it's easy for the staff to get to. There’s no fancy lobby or receptionist, just us working through the daily list. It’s a practical way to run things without all the extra fuss. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day and go home when the work is finished. The internet goes out sometimes when it rains, but we just wait it out.
