Utsav Hotel

Up on the first floor of the West Block in Hadapsar, you’ll find our place. We are at number 162. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but people get used to it quickly. Being on the first floor means we see a lot of what goes on down on the street without being right in the middle of the noise. The West Block is a busy part of town. There are always trucks moving and people rushing to get to their jobs. Inside, we have everything set up simply. We don't use big signs or bright lights. It’s mostly just the walls we painted a few years back and the furniture we’ve had since we opened. Sometimes the fan in the corner makes a clicking sound, but nobody seems to mind. We do our work, talk to the regulars, and wait for the delivery vans to arrive in the afternoon. It gets a bit hot in the summer because of the way the sun hits the windows. We usually keep the curtains half-drawn then. We are just a local hotel, not one of those big chains you see in the city center. It’s a practical space for practical people. Most of the staff has been here for years. We know the area well and we like being part of the Hadapsar community. It’s just how things are here at Utsav Hotel.
