Universal Mobile Shop

Universal Mobile Shop has been a part of Dhanakawadi 13 for several years now. It’s a small corner of the world where we spend most of our day. The shop is packed with phone cases, chargers, and boxes of new handsets. It’s a bit cramped when more than three people come in at once, but we make it work. Dhanakawadi is a lively place with lots of students and workers. They are always looking for a good deal or a quick fix for a cracked screen. I remember when we first moved into this space; it was completely empty. Now, every inch of the wall is covered with something. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us talking to people who walk through the door. Some days are slow, especially when it rains hard and the street floods a little. Other days, we don't even have time to eat lunch properly. I usually have tea from the stall next door twice a day. It helps keep the energy up. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still written down in a ledger. It feels more real that way. People appreciate that we don't try to talk them into things they don't need. We just want to fix the problem and move on to the next one for the day.
