B. U. I. Pvt. Ltd. works out of Universal House, which is located at No. 426/ 1 on Gokhale Road in Shivaji Nagar. Being in Shivaji Nagar means there is always something happening outside. Gokhale Road is a major path for people commuting, so the noise from the street is a constant background sound for us. Our office in Universal House isn't hard to find. We have been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Inside the office, we have a few rows of desks and some filing cabinets that have been here since we moved in. It is a practical space without any unnecessary decorations. We come in early, make some tea, and start looking through the paperwork or the digital files for the day. There is no big sign or flashing lights, just our name on the directory. Universal House has other businesses too, so we see the same faces in the elevator or the stairs every day. Sometimes the power flickers when it rains hard, but that is just part of living in this area. We handle our private limited business tasks without much fuss. It’s a lot of typing and talking on the phones. The windows look out towards the main road, and sometimes we just watch the traffic for a minute when we need a break. It feels like a regular, honest place to work.
