Ultramatix Systems Pvt Ltd is based at J-299 in the MIDC Industrial Area of Bhosari. This is a huge industrial zone and our unit is right in the middle of it. We’ve been at J-299 for many years and the place hasn't changed much. It’s a big, open space with a very high ceiling. When it rains, the sound on the metal roof is so loud you can’t hear anything else. The air in Bhosari always has that industrial smell of grease and burnt metal. We don't mind it. Inside, we have our machines set up in rows. We have a small section blocked off with some plywood for the computer work. It’s not fancy at all. The floor is stained with oil and there’s dust on most of the top shelves. We have a water cooler near the door and a small bench where we take our breaks. The roads in MIDC are often full of potholes, so driving the company van is always a bit of a bumpy ride. We are just a group of regular people doing our jobs. We don't have a big corporate structure or fancy titles. Most of us have been here for a decade or more. We know the work inside out and don't need much supervision. We just show up, get the tasks done, and make sure the place is locked up tight at night. It’s a plain and simple life.
