You’ll find us over in Shivane at HAL 3rd Stage, specifically at H 217/2 81/5. Transfield Electronics isn't a big high-tech lab or anything like that. It’s more of a practical workspace where we assemble boards and check components. We have rows of workstations with magnifying lamps and soldering stations. The air always smells a bit like flux and burnt solder. It can be tedious work, sitting and looking at small parts for hours, but it’s what we’re good at. We have a small team of technicians who have been with us for a while. They know their way around a multimeter. The office part is just a small desk in the corner with a computer that’s a few years old. We get parts delivered in small boxes and send out finished products in bigger ones. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a batch of boards if a customer is in a hurry. The lighting could be better, but we make it work. We don't use any fancy corporate jargon here. We just talk about resistors, capacitors, and lead times. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except for the hum of the cooling fans. We’re just local people doing technical work in a small corner of Shivane. We don't have a big marketing plan, we just focus on doing a decent job on every circuit board that comes through our small shop.
