Power Integration

Our place is located right by the Mumbai Bangalore Highway in Warje Malwadi, at plot 140/2. It is called Power Integration. Being so close to the highway means we hear the constant hum of traffic all day long, which you just get used to after a week or so of working here. The work we do involves a lot of technical bits and pieces. We have benches set up with all sorts of tools and parts scattered around. It might look like a mess to someone walking in, but we usually know where everything is kept. We spend a lot of time testing things and making sure the connections are right. It’s the kind of job where you have to be patient. Sometimes a problem takes all afternoon to figure out, and that can be a bit frustrating for everyone. The building is a simple structure on 140/2, nothing that would win any design awards. We just need it to be functional and keep the rain out of our equipment. There is always a lot of dust from the highway, so we are constantly wiping things down to keep them clean. We drink tea from the stall nearby and talk about the work or what’s happening in Warje. It is a regular workplace with regular people who know their way around a circuit. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just show up, do the work, and head home.
