Down here on Station Road in Pimpri, things are always moving. It’s one of those places where you really feel the pulse of the industrial side of town. Being so close to the station means there’s a constant stream of people walking by or catching buses. The gates here at Thyssenkrupp stay busy with trucks and workers coming in for their shifts. It’s a big site, a lot bigger than some of the small shops nearby. You can hear the sounds of heavy machinery and the hum of the facility from quite a distance. It’s not the quietest neighborhood, but that’s expected in Pimpri. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years, with more buildings going up and more traffic on the main road. Inside, it’s all business. People are focused on their tasks, wearing their safety gear and moving between different departments. There’s a lot of history in these walls, even if we don’t talk about it much. It’s just a place where serious work gets done every day. Lunchtimes are usually a bit of a rush as everyone heads to the canteen or the local stalls outside. It’s a practical environment. No one is here for the view, they’re here to build and manage things. It’s a long day sometimes, but that’s the nature of being on Station Road. It keeps us on our toes and the work never really stops.
